The black fabric version of this bra is quite different to the nude colour. It seems more scratchy and has less stretch. i would have prefferred black but ended up with nude as it felt better.
Selaine says: Pure Lime have confirmed the black and nude fabric are the same for the product - hopefully with washing they will feel the same
I always struggle with sports bras (42D) with being so big which has always restricted my getting fit but now I am well underway now I have these bras. I am so happy with this one I brought 2. It provides great support for doing high impact sport and I will being buying smaller ones of this when I get the weight off :-)
How do you start to exercise to loose weight when you are big? You cant do it comfortably until you have a good bra. This one is so comfortable it allowed me to start exercising again. All I wanted to do was teach my kids to skip and it was too painful before. I was struggling to find a sports bra that did a size big enough. Thanks Pure Lime.
A bit disappointing. Rolls up under breasts so it digs in. Good fabric though and fine in all other respects. Wouldn't buy another.
Supportive and comfortable after reconstructive surgery. Band is nice and deep so it doesn't dig in and the sides come up high to hug everything in. But had to take off the adjusters as they are quite sharp and dig in - stitched straps in place by hand once adjusted to fit.
I found this good for light aerobics when i'm still breast feeding - with a tight top over it too, it is still comfortable.
lovely bra, so comfy you forget you have it on!! Washes well too.
Comfortable, flattering, supportive (30F). However 2 problems: 1 Straps slide- I had to stitch the clasps so they stay tight & don't just slide down the straps. 2.Crossover straps clasp badly designed- slips out leaving you with no straps at all! Had to wear a shock absorber on top for safety!
I really love this sports bra. I love the fact that I feel super secure in it, and it's comfortable, and it doesn't rub! Really great to have a racer back too. It's good for running, although I do find it a bit less supportive when doing things like body attack. Highly recommended though!
This is a very comfortable bra and provides good support even for the larger bust. However as the straps are multi way the hooks tend to work their way out of place at the back.
I'm 30E and found the bra soft and comfortable, I can wear it all day without feeling restricted. It's great for low impact activities, but not supportive enough for running for me, too much bounce. The straps are not great, they don't hold really well.
This bra does not have underwiring so if you're used to that then this product feels as though it is not quite as supportive as I thought it should be, especially for running. That said it is comfortable and washes well.
This is a great choice for larger busts. It's extremely supportive and comfortable to wear all day long. I wear it for hillwalking, running and biking.
This is a very comfortable bra and keeps everything in place nicely! Would highly recommend.
Liked the free trainer socks too!Great bra for general gym work-nice and easy to wear-I feel well-supported.Liked the free trainer socks too!
Last November I took part in a sponsored motorcycle challenge across Rajasthan to raise money for Scope. I wore this bra for 1,870 km on the back of an Enfield Bullet across some of the toughest roads imaginable in 30+ heat and can vouch for its comfort and support during a real sporting challenge!
Ordered this due to good reviews. Am size 30G so have had great difficulty trying to find a sports bra that does the job without having to wear two of them. This seemed to be ok, but still felt a significant amount of bounce - also seemed quite low at the top, which left me feeling exposed.
The shock absorber is perfect for us bigger girls who run! Everything stays put, no sore patches under the boobs, no shoulder pain on longer runs and basically I can forget them for once!
AND you still look like a girl!
This is my 6th I think.
Very comfortable to wear - but definitely more suited for pilates or yoga activities. My boobs were jiggling in this during a spinning class - and there is huge bounce when running. I'll stick to Enell for a run.
I got this because i wanted to wear it with a specific top therefore the racing back style of this bra was the main reason for buying it. It seemed to fit fine but after about an hour my shoulders really ached. I made some adjustments to the straps which helped a little but it just didn't fit right.
disappointed with performance.probably too comfy to be any good at high impact. if it cant stop them bouncing up then they only have to come down again! got boob ache at the end of a long run.its a shame you cant test drive them first.I'm still looking.
This bra is extremely comfortable and offers reasonable support but I have found the adjustable strap slides with running which leads to more bounce and the strap that hooks in at the back keeps popping out.
I'm a 34E and bought this bra for high impact exercise classes. Though it does a good job of reducing downward movement it is too low to stop you bouncing upwards and potentially out of the bra. I have tried re-arranging the straps, but to no avail. I'll stick to my underwired Freya bras in future.
This was not a good fit and lacked sufficient support for running/jogging so I exchanged it for a shock absorber bra top which is better but still allows some bounce.
I find the bra a bit too loose and giving less support than e.g. Shock absorber, it does not feel snug or firm. So, I'll try another brand next time.
Selaine says: sounds like you have the wrong size
This bra pales in comparison to the Shock Absorber B4490 so really it's a big step up if you've never had a proper sports bra before but if you have big boobs in particular (mine is a 34 E) I would recommend the Shock Absorber instead. It gives much more support and there is less bounce!
Ugly (but aren't they all) but comfortable; however one try on was enough for me to see that it had way too much bounce for running. I sent it back. Much prefer Champion Action Shape, or 2nd choice Shock Absorber bra top.
This bra does not feel secure and my boobs bounce alot when running unlike my shock absorber bra.
The support is insufficient - it's only usable to wear over a regular bra. The straps were too long for me unless I wore them crossed (which is impractical) - had to shorten them. Creates a "uniboob" look.
I prefer my B4490 which gives me great support for my 32C. Pure Lime 098 is comfortable to wear, however I would not recommend it for high impact activity as my 32C bounces alot while running.
I was disappointed with this bra. Coverage was good for me but support was hopeless. Didn't stop my boobs bouncing and unsuitable for the high impact sports, like badminton, that I play. 32G
Sorry, but this bra is terrible! It is uncomfortable, creates an ugly shape and does nothing to stop bounce! The straps don't stay at the desired length and the top is just too 'loose'. I bounce out of it. It isn't even useful for Pilates as when doing matwork I simply fal out of the top! Rubbish!
Selaine says: it does sound like this bra is too big in the cup
This bra is hopeless. I was bouncing walking across the car park never mind when I got into my aerobics class. I will stick to shock absorber in the future.
34E. Tried for aerobics, looking for something more comfortable than my Enell. Bounch was terrible and embarrasing. Also straps disconnect too easily (whilst wearing). I guess it depends on the angle of your shoulders as to their security. Wearing the straps crossed reduced all above breast support.
A very good choice for those with big breasts. Stabile!
Comfortable to wear, washes well, found the band under bust rolled up but not uncomfortable. Prefered the Shockabsorber for Endurance Riding.
A very comfortable bra for daily use but not enough support when riding in sitting trot. More support is offered when the straps are worn crossed over at the back but the strap joins rub and cause soreness. I am sure the manufacturers are on the right lines, just a few more design tweaks needed.
Very comfortable, good fit, but absolutely no support for 34E. Very disappointed, can`t wear to workout in, so expensive buy.
This bra was absolutely useless for myself I run between 4-6 miles and with bra I bounced all over the place still needed another bra ontop of this bra.
Bra arrived OK but was unsuitable & was returned. Am awaiting refund as promised on 7/7/11 in an e-mail. Valerie Jennings
This is my second 30C and it's a much tighter fit than the first. I've been running in the other one for a couple of months now and still LOVE it. It offers terrific support and I can wear it all day without feeling constricted; and it is so comfortable I forget I'm wearing it.
I had been using the shock absorber bras when training for a marathon but found that the straps dug in and sometimes came undone when running. This bra was superb the soft material meant no rubbing and it is comfortable whilst being supportive. I would highly recommend it. I am a 32DD.
I measure up at a 32D/DD so tried this in a 32D and then in a 30D. Both too big. I ended up in a 30C which fits perfectly and is extremely comfortable. Sadly only one in stock, otherwise I'd have bought a few as I really struggle to find good fitting, comfy running bras.
I found this bra absolutely fantastic. I feel like I am being hugged all the time that I wear it. I will be ordering more. x
I work as a physiotherapist and my job is very active as I mostly treat horses. This bra is comfortable enough to wear all day for work as well as when I am riding. Highly recommended especially if you don't like underwired bras but still need support!
Recently (29th March 2011) had breast enlargement What an amazing bra even the hospital took the packaging so they could rec them to their other clients. My sports bra fittedhttp://www.soapbox-reviews.net/cgi-bin/iwsoapbox.dll/EXEC/0/0mprht714ir66115k6mz506jj763#d like a glove and extremely comfortable indeed.
This is my third or fourth compression bra, they might not give the best shape in the world but I keep coming back to it for comfort and the fact that it works really well!
perfect fit- best bra for running I've ever had - does squash a bit but not in a bad or uncomfortable way - I guess that's the compression bit!when i first put it on i thought I had too small a size but actually it's just very strong and after the first couple of wearings was quite fine
A top quality bra for running, which fits well and does not chafe. Soft fabric and attractive styling.
Being 32FF have found it extremely difficult to find a bra that kept everything still !! This is comfortable, no strap problems, no bounce - have tried practically every other brand - this is worth the money.....
A perfekt support bra for large breast, very comfortable and keeps in place ever at high intensity sports, as Mountain biking or spinning
A fabulous bra for aerobics! Everything stays put and unlike other bras it doesn't squash you in to one monoboob!I liked it so much I bought another 2. Washes quite well though the nude one went a funny colour after much wearing & washing.
i bought one from a large cup specialist then they stopped stocking it and it was the only one that worked properly for be due to the very wide underband, i like them quite tight so ordered a 30E rather than my normal bra 30F and it should last me for a good couple of years
I bought this bra in a 32C and ran the London Marathon wearing it. I also did most of my long runs wearing it during training. It is very supportive and comfortable with no chafing at all - highly recommended.
I've tried a few sports bras but always found them lacking in one way or another. This one looks and feels lovely while giving excellent support. Just make sure the alterable straps are in the right place securely before you start running!
An excellent support for 34C and bigger . Doesn't move, very comfortable for a variety of sports, running through to mountain biking
I bought this as I have started working out at the gym. I am an ample 38DD and this certainly does the job. There is no wobble or bounce, it's breathable and washes well. It certainly keeps everything under control,I am not at all self-conscious while I'm working out, no bounce!! Very good product.
36DD, best ever bra for dressage, no bounce, no slipping straps, very comfortable and still able to breathe when doing sitting trot.
I'm a 30F in normal bras, the 30E fits better after sweating into it etc. it is also good looking compared to some stuff you can get, I would happily wear it as a crop top (if my tummy didn't wobble!)
This bra is very comfortable and offers complete support for running even for large breasts. I would definitely recommend this for high activity sports, such as running.
Best sportsbra I've ever owned. Keeps everything in place - even when jumping up and down or running.
The best running bra I've had - comfortable straight away; no bounce at all. It had the added bonus for me that although I fell and bruised my ribs running it is supportive enough around the rib-cage that I can continue my half-marathon training.
After a long search I finally found a sports bra that actually helps. In other words simply makes everything "Less Bounce"
I use this for my main runnig bra and find it works and is comfortabe. The standard high impact bra is better for cycling and I find this one is better for running for my size. Not huge and bulky either.
At last my search for a good 32G sports bra is over. I do allot of high impact classes and usually wear layers to reduce boob bounce - but not anymore. Fantastic quality and support. I'm going to get another one soon. I cannot tell you what a difference this will make to my workouts. A must have
At last I have found a sports bra that does exactly what it is supposed to do, I run and do a lot of classes and this does the job for both, it feels very safe an secure.
