LessBounce Measuring Guide
We have found to get the most accurate size it is best to use 2
pieces of string rather than a tape measure. The instructions below use
string, but it you prefer to use a tape measure you can, just be sure
not to peak at the numbers!
- Wearing a normal bra (no padding) pull the string around the rib
cage tight, but not so it pinches. Keep the elbows down and breathe out
when cutting the string.
- Now take a second piece of string and place around the fullest
part of the bust without letting it dig in. Keep the elbows down,
breathe out and cut the string.
- You can now measure your pieces of string on a tape measure, or
send them back to us at LessBounce with your order form and we can
determine the correct size for you in the bra you ordered.
Please note there is some variation in sizing by brand and if you wear the same brand in an everyday bra you should be the same size in their sports bra.

If you wish to return your string to us please post with your customer details to :

Bra sizing is a bit tricky, so we strongly advise you think about "fit" as well as just the size. When your new sports bra reaches you, it should be done up on the loosest hook and should be snug (but not so tight you can't breathe). The cup should cover the entire breast, with no bulges over the top and you should only be able to pop a finger under the cup or band. If the material is wrinkled it is too big. If you have a cleavage, the cup is too small. If you need any further advice, please do call whilst wearing your bra and we can advise. Different Brand, Different Size?
Some brands fit differently to others. This video by Panache shows you how measure and fit yourself for their sports bras.
