I do like these, despite having some stitching come undone on one of the last batch of pairs I bought recently. They seem big enough to cover everything, so are comfy don't like the tight legs as gives a terrible VPL but it does hold them in place so they don't ride up! Order a bigger size!
Comfortable shorts nice fit but would agree you may need to buy a larger size. Quite snug around the leg.
These shorts are very comfy for running in. They never disappear where they shouldn't! As other reviewers have said they are a bit snug aroung the legs but they do give when washed.
Very comfortable for exercising in, they do cut in a little at the top of the leg but this does mean they don't ride up, I love the colour style and fit
Really comfortable for doing any exercise, but don't wear them under tight-fitting clothing as they leave horrendous VPL! Maybe solved by wearing a size bigger than normal?
...on these shorts, I had the grey/green pair in XL delivered today and the leg holes aren't anywhere near as small as they were on the white XL pair and are just comfy enough to wear. Maybe it's worth trying more than 1 pair if you're thinking of buying.
these are really comfy and hold things in in the right places - that sounds very wrong, but you know what i mean!!! do be aware they come up reeeally small. I am a size 10-12 and the XL are a good fit for me. For this reason, have been a bit stingey with the stars.
Good wicking properties, don't chafe and don't ride up when running. However, I find the leg holes are a bit on the small side.
Very tight fitting even though I order my normal size. It is ok, does show through lycra pants which is not very flattering. Neither the bra nor the pants are worth the price they are up for.
Shorts were comfortable but very high waisted (size 10 felt like should be s14); after only a few wearings waistband started coming off. Would not buy again.
I took my pair of these travelling with me for a month in Africa. Nearly half of the waistband has come away from the rest of the shorts on one side, and a hole has appeared on the other side. After only a months' wear it's very disappointing. A real shame because the shorts are SO comfortable.
I'm not large (10-12 depending on the shop), but like a sign that says "wet paint", I just had to try these anyway despite all the reviews. Thigh holes on the XL were just too tight to be comfortable and the rest of the shorts were too big. Freya should rethink the design or invent new ones.
I'm a size 14 and the size L shorts fitted beautifully everywhere but for the legs, which I found too tight. Don't think I've got particularly oversized thighs as I don't have trouble wearing any other item of clothing in my size. Much prefer the Pure Lime Boxers.
Beware although i read these come up small, they are not just small but also an odd fit, tight around the legs but not around the waist. Good wicking fabric though.
Trying out different pairs of sports pants I had some boxes to tick:
1)Comfy and don't ride up
2)Don't chafe cycling/running
3)No painful seams ie the common centre line one that causes mischief
Failed on 2)&3) cycling -lumpy gusset seam junction is b/w sit bones and saddle. Perfect for running
wore them once, washed them once.. then they fell apart at the seams...had to send the back.. all 3 pairs!!!! A shame, because they were comfortable
Very disappointed. I would expect an XL to fit a size 16 but they were TINY. I love Freya bras so I was surprised they've got the sizing on these so very wrong.
The best shorts I have bought in recent times, extremely comfortable whether running or doing gym work.
people aren't kidding about them being snug around the top of the thigh and they're not particularly glamourous, but it does keep them in place. Down side is VPL (it shows you're wearing big pants!) but they don't rise up and stay in place well, so no trying to rearrange undies awkwardly! good colour
Followed advice to get a size bigger than usual and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable, don't ride up and have good wicking properties. I've tried a few different brands and have found these to be the best.
Freya shorts are great - quite tight around top of legs and leave a visible pant line - but comfy, wick moisture away, supportive - great - I have already ordered more.
Am confused as I previously bought nude pairs in medium (i'm size 8) and they were small, now bought black & red and they are much larger but still great. Red ones are now my race pants!! Love them.
Excellent shorts, really comfortable - I would agree that you need to order a slightly larger size - would buy again and recommend
Most comfortable I have ever had, not just for running but for under jeans as well.Fit close, light, no vpl.I took advice from another review and ordered Large size (Normally take size 12)rather than medium..perfect fit!
Practical, comfortable. As other reviewers say, quite fitted around the top of the legs, but I found this means they don't ride up. (And I do have a flabby bum and relatively large thighs!) Would buy these again.
Excellent fit,very light and flattering
I bought these on a recommendation from Runner's World and I agree with their review. They are comfortable,(fitted around the legs), do not chafe, and do not creep (most inportant). I will be buying in another colour.
These shorts are very comfortable to wear, they don't ride up even when running a marathon, they have good wicking but are a bit on the small side. I wear a size 8 trousers and I needed a medium size with these shorts. They also give a definite knicker line around the legs.... hey but who cares!!
Freya underwired sports bra: am really pleased with this for 3 reasons 1. it has low enough neckline to wear everyday 2. because of shape of cup it gives terrific shape and uplift without having to raise height of boobs, so less strain on shoulders and nice wide 4 hook fastening, very supportive
